SIAMESE MARTABAN VESSEL

Martaban pots originally served to store water or food, originating from the city of the same name located in southern Burma, their use spread rapidly throughout Southeast Asia, with those from Lampang in northern present-day Thailand being the most appreciated, due to the quality of their kaolin and the skill of their potters.
