Measurements: 27 cm ø x 20 cm high

Fragment of a pilaster finial belonging to the late Catalan Gothic period, carved in the shape of a pomegranate, suggesting a devotion to the Virgin Mary, as it symbolizes her purity, since it is the only fruit immune to insects and worms due to the resistance of its skin. It may have originated in the Priorat or Baix Camp regions, given the use of granite stone, which is abundant in those areas.
