WOODEN BOWL

A large fountain carved from teak, a highly durable wood resistant to fungi, wood-boring insects, and acids, making it one of the most valuable pieces, with a patina added later. It comes from the interior of the Principality of Hyderabad, in the southeast of the Indian subcontinent, and was made in the early 18th century.
