WHITE LACQUERED ANDALUSIAN CONSOLE

Crafted from pine and lacquered white, this console table with A-frame legs and an ingenious double crossbar comes from a farmhouse or wine press in the Axarquía region, embodying the essence of traditional furniture from Eastern Andalusia at the beginning of the last century. The rhomboid marquetry of the top and the sinuous moldings of the upper frames are the only exceptions to its austere functionality, which nonetheless does not diminish its evocative power and, together with its radiant white finish, conjures up a sense of Mediterranean hedonism.
